Our Journey
Past & Present

Years ago I embarked upon a project to discover and document the stories of my family, both past and present. This hasn't been merely a cold gathering of facts, but instead an attempt to discover who we are and to why do we do the things we do.

To this end, one of my goals has been to put flesh on these ancestor’s bones; to make them live again so that we all can better understand how they contributed to what our family is today. To learn about their many hardships and losses, their never giving in or giving up and their resolve to go on. Their determination is what built a life for their family which turns out to be my family.

Another goal is to share stories about my kids and grandkids. Each one of them has a distinct personality and a story of their own that needs to be shared. They represent the future of this family so their stories must also be told.

Therefore the goal of making this families history come alive is accomplished by researching and remembering, then recording stories about this families ordinary everyday lives. This website includes stories about family members who in the past and present we shared our lives, as well as those we never knew, but we somehow feel connected. This is about my families journey.
